HERMANTOWN FIRST LEGO LEAGUE (FLL): 2024/2025 SEASON:
Friendly competition is at the heart of Challenge, as teams of students ages 9-14 engage in research, problem-solving, coding, and engineering – building and programming a LEGO® Education SPIKE Prime robot that navigates the missions of a robot game. As part of the Challenge, teams also design an innovative solution to a real-world problem relevant to the theme. To learn more about the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Challenge, visit their website. The Coaches and team members determine team meeting schedules and level of participation.
TEAM LOGISTICS
Hermantown Lego League provides guidance, administrative support, and the resources to run an FLL team. Please consider coaching a team. I can only run teams if I have volunteer coaches.
Coaching a FIRST LEGO League team is a rewarding experience! As an FLL coach, you can empower students with a sense of accomplishment that comes from knowing they have complete ownership of the solution they create. Team members are responsible for all research, documentation, programming, and building. The coach acts as a facilitator to guide the children and help build a robot, research, and core values. Knowledge about robotics or programming is not required to be a coach.
