Are you looking for an immersive and educational outdoor experience? Look no further than the Northern Outdoors Club! Classes cover a wide range of Nature Education topics, from survival techniques to nature-based art projects. Our expert instructors will guide you through hands-on experiences that will deepen your child’s understanding and appreciation of the natural world. Whether you're a seasoned outdoors enthusiast or a curious beginner, we have classes that will suit your interests and skill level.

Paracord Survival Tool - Learn how to make a 5-in-1 Survival Paracord Band equipped with 8 ft. of 550 lb. tested paracord rope, compass, whistle, flint & steel. Many colors are available to customize your craft! A great tool for any outdoor enthusiast or a crafter wanting to learn a new weave knot!

Weird N' Wild Creatures - When the wintery winds gust & blow, have a blast playing a card game involving tons of weird n’ wild creatures including what you might find in nightmares of nature, monsters of the past & deep, tiny terrors so much more! This is a different kind of NOC class with the unpredictable weather, but it's sure to be just as fun & hands-on!

Quinzhee Building Class - Come learn how to build a Quinzhee (snow shelter made by Alaska Natives)! Have fun in this “make a home from scratch” class and learn some new winter survival skills. Please have students bring ALL outside warm winter gear!

Keeping Warm Science Experiment - Learn and practice the skills needed to survive in the cold outdoor Minnesota Winter! Run a science experiment to avoid heat loss by thinking like a Minnesota animal during this awesome interactive class! ALL OUTDOOR GEAR IS NEEDED!

Nature's Candy - Learn and practice the methods involved in tapping trees for syrup sap. Identify which trees are needed to make syrup, learn where sap comes from, and the process it goes through to become syrup, and then compare store-bought syrups to syrups made right in the Northland!

3,2,1 Blast-Off Flight - Explore all the awesome ways motion takes flight! Put your knowledge to the test by throwing balls, frisbees, paper airplanes, and more! Then, make a “bottle rocket” to see motion take vertical flight in a big way!
