Introduction to Fly Fishing


Adult Classes / Adult Enriching Generations Together -

Join the Arrowhead Fly Fishers Club and learn how to start fly fishing or freshen up your skills, learn about fish species that can be caught on a fly rod, their habitats, essential equipment, important knots (clinch, improved clinch, and double surgeon's knot), and techniques for fishing in various environments, including streams, rivers, ponds, and lakes. The course will also cover the ethics of fly fishing, what fish eat, where to fish locally, and how to tie a fly. Start your fly fishing journey today!

Casting is a necessary skill for fly fishing, and it will be introduced briefly during the class via a short video in Session 2. On Friday, April 25th, there will be an opportunity for hands-on casting training.
