Pathways to Careers: Exploring Career & Technical Education for your Child

Adult Classes / Adult Enriching Generations Together -
2025-2026

Join Community Education and the Northeast Service Cooperative for a class designed to empower parents and caregivers to support their children in exploring post-high school options. Led by Nic Hanson, Student Readiness and Success Coordinator at Proctor High School, this session will focus on Career and Technical Education (CTE) opportunities for Minnesota students.
Explore the 16 nationally recognized Career Clusters, including Health Science, Information Technology, Agriculture, Manufacturing, and Skilled Trades. Learn how students can gain hands-on experience, earn industry-recognized credentials, and engage in college coursework while in high school. We’ll also discuss strategies for connecting students with local employers and work-based learning opportunities.
This class is beneficial for parents of students at any stage of their educational journey, providing valuable resources and insights to help guide their future. Join us to discover how CTE (Career & Technical Education) can open doors to success for your child!
