  • Behind the Wheel Package - Youth Driver Education

    Students who completed classroom instruction with another organization may participate in 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training with our licensed staff. Participants must register for this course, prior to driving with one of our licensed staff. Participants may choose who they would like to drive with or have one assigned based on availability. Upon registration, please email Ines Chandler, ichandler@isd700.org, to receive your assigned driver's contact information.
  • Youth Driver Education - Proctor Oct/Nov

    Youth Driver Education courses are designed to teach your student how to become a responsible and low risk driver. All of our courses are taught by Minnesota Department of Education licensed teachers. At the end of the program, your student will have gained the knowledge to successfully pass the written permit test, confidently drive on the road, and be prepared for his/her driver license exam. Each student will participate in 33 hours of classroom instruction and six hours of behind-the-wheel with our licensed staff. Please be sure to review all the necessary information regarding Youth Driver Education prior to registering here. Questions: contact Ines Chandler, Driver's Education Coordinator - ichandler@isd700.org Note: If you are on the waiting list, you will ONLY be contacted if you become eligible for a spot in this class. If your child does not meet the minimum age requirement, you can email ichandler@isd700.org to be put on an underage waitlist. Please include your name, student's name, email address, students' birthdate and which class you want to be on the list for. If this class does not fill by October 1st, we will open it up to 14 years and older.

  • Water Safety Clinic (for Summer Kids' Zone at Bay View Only)

    This registration link is for participants of Summer Kids' Zone at Bay View Elementary who will be participating in the the free swim safety clinic at the Essentia Wellness Center in Hermantown. This program is offered through a grant in collaboration with the Duluth YMCA and their aquatics programs. Swim safety lessons will take place in two sessions this summer. Session one for Grades K-2 will take place on Tuesday, June 11, 18, 25 and July 2 & 9 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. (12 spots) Session one for Grades 3-5 will take place on Thursday, June 13, 20, 27 and July 11 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. (12 spots) (No Class July 4) Session two for Grades K-2 will take place on Tuesday, July 16, 23, 30 and August 6 & 13 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. (12 spots) Session two for Grades 3-5 will take place on Thursday, July 18, 25 and August 1, 8 & 15 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. (12 spots) **Please only sign up for one session that would work for your child. We have space to work with 48 students this summer. Participants will need to supply their own swim suit and towel. The $10 fee will cover transportation costs for the 5 sessions. Transportation will be provided to and from Bay View Elementary. The bus will leave Bay View Elementary at 8:30 am sharp.
